Youth Worker |School |Part Time

Job Description

The Services required are set out as follows:

to be provided

Outreach and engagement

o engage and build positive relationships with

identified students during and/or outside of

curriculum hours (e.g. night, school holidays,

weekends);

o engage and connect with identified students in

school and/or community settings outside of school

compound at least once a month (provide

reason(s) if this is not met);

o strongly encourage identified students to attend

school or after-school/community programmes;

o facilitate group-based engagement through

programmes co-designed in collaboration with

school personnel, with the appointed youth worker

assuming primary responsibility for programme

facilitation and implementation; and

o equip students with essential socio-emotional

knowledge and skills;

 School collaboration

o provide individual intervention plan for each student

with clear goals, proper timely documentation,

relevant feedback and progress of students to

school personnel; and

o provide support and consultation to school

teachers on students’ needs and challenges

Case Management and Family Engagement

o provide case planning, management and

counselling support to the family; and

o conduct family engagement and interventions

 Youth Worker for each school to be deployed only to the

school;

 Assignment of Youth Worker should ensure continuity and

sustainability in the engagement of the identified students
