Job Description :

Support and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server issues;
Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of the Windows and Linux servers to ensure availability of the services to users;
Support and troubleshoot software issues relating to Networker and Avamar;
Work with Server Owners and software support to trouble-shoot issues encountered by backup jobs;
Installation of software, apply patches or fixes as and when required;
Assist in daily monitoring of backup jobs processed by the Networker and Avamar backup servers;
Support users’ request for backup and restoration of files and databases;
Participate in Disaster Recovery activities eg. simulation exercise at Disaster Recovery site;
Assist in the evaluation of new products and technologies to enhance or improve the backup,
Assist in the provision of statistics on backup operations,
Train other contract programmers in the relevant skills;
Any other tasks related to backup as assigned by the supervisors such as documentation of backup infrastructure, backup schedules etc.
