Job Description

1. Student Support

* Be part of the school’s counselling team to provide one-to-one

counselling and coaching support for students’ social, emotional

and mental well-being

* Support the school’s student management and counselling team

in strengthening restorative practices and student support

* Conduct group and individual intervention programmes for

students with additional needs in targeted support areas,

including learning motivation and engagement, cyber wellness,

peer relationships and social skills, and emotional regulation and

behaviour across relevant primary levels as directed by the

school

2. Staff Engagement and Professional Development

* Conduct sharing sessions for teachers on student well-being

topics as part of the school’s ongoing professional learning during

term period and/or school holidays.

* Support programme development and teacher engagement

aligned to the school’s Character and Citizenship Education

(CCE) and Education and Career Guidance (ECG) curriculum

and initiatives

* Provide case consultation with teachers to better support

identified students with additional needs

3. Stakeholder and Parent Engagement

* Support the school’s well-being and counselling team in case

consultation with relevant external agencies and social service

organisations

* Provide counselling consultation for identified parents as required

* Support the school’s parent engagement efforts, including talks

and workshops as directed by the school during term period

and/or school holidays

4. Engagement Disposition and Professional Conduct

The Personnel should demonstrate a warm, approachable, and non-

judgmental disposition when working with students, with the ability to

build trust and rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.

Cultural sensitivity and an awareness of the school environment are

important, as is a collaborative working style with teachers, school

counsellors, and student management staff. The Personnel is expected

to uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional conduct in

all interactions with students, staff, and external agencies.

5. Values & Professional Ethics

The Personnel should be aligned with a strengths-based and student-

centered approach to well-being support, with a genuine belief in every

student’s capacity for growth and development. The Personnel should

demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professional maturity in all

aspects of their work, alongside reliability, integrity, and respect for

student dignity.
