Job Description

The Services required are set out as follows:

Manpower Services (Student Management – Youth Worker) –

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with school leaders, teachers, and student

management personnel to support student well-being and

behavioural development.

2. Identify and support a targeted group of students

through individual and small group sessions,

intervention programmes, and engagement strategies to

enhance connectedness to school and build resilience.

3. Provide counselling and mentoring support, using

counselling skills and techniques to encourage discussions

of emotions and experiences, equip students with coping

strategies, and act as a positive role model.

4. Help identify underlying issues such as social or emotional

disadvantages, discrimination, poverty, or trauma to inform

accurate planning of intervention measures.

5. Develop, monitor, and follow up on behavioural support

plans, promoting positive relationships and student

engagement.

6. Discipline and Investigation Support and mediation and

conflict resolution sessions – Conduct fact-finding and

incident investigations, including reviewing CCTV

footage, conducting student interviews, recording

statements, and supporting mediation and conflict

resolution sessions.

7. School Discipline Operations Support – Monitor student

behaviour in key areas of the school, assist in enforcing

school rules and routines, support staff during high-traffic

periods (e.g. recess, dismissal), and supervise detention

sessions.

8. Perform home visits where necessary.

9. Administrative and Operational Support – Maintain

proper documentation and case records, prepare reports

on student progress and incidents, and provide

administrative support for student management

processes and programme logistics.

10. Communicate and follow up with internal stakeholders such

as form teachers and school leaders as required.

Communication with parents and relevant external agencies

will be on an invitation basis and/or in the presence of the

programme in-charge education officer.

11. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
