Senior IT Analyst
Job Description
The Candidate will be responsible to ensure all the applications systems remain in good working order.
The Candidate is expected to take on support of new application systems when they become operational.
The Candidate will respond to production emergencies in a timely manner based on Cilent’s Service Levels. This includes bringing up the server (in a crash) or system processes, fixing problems or finding workarounds.
The Candidate is expected to diligently perform routine checks and to escalate to the Project Manager should any anomaly be detected. The Candidate should show the initiative to alert and troubleshoot together with other system engineers, database administrator (DBA) and outsourced vendors.
The Candidate is expected to follow through every issue / problem to closure, and complete the necessary documentation as required by the client.
The Candidate will assist users and answer queries regarding the supported operational systems.
The Candidate is expected to interface with the helpdesk agents, end-users and external vendors during application support and problem resolution.
The Candidate is expected to be on standby support on off-office-hours / weekends / public holidays when needed such as during scheduled maintenance, system crash or system upgrade exercise.
Besides application support, the Candidate is also expected to make some code changes/ enhancements that arise from service requests. The Candidate will follow the client’s technical standards and update the necessary documentation.
The candidate shall report to the Project Manager in tracking and managing the project timelines and resources that he/she has been assigned to undertake.
The Candidate is expected to understudy and undertake the development of new applications and maintenance of any existing systems as assigned by the Project Manager.
The Candidate shall be able to work independently with minimum supervision. He/She shall also work effectively as a team member among the system support and application development teams
Job Requirement
The Candidate shall possess at least a Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
The Candidate shall have at least 8 years of working experience in the IT or Infocomm industry, with exposure to end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience with implementation in Singapore is preferred.
The Candidate shall have at least 8 years of experience and be proficient in designing, developing and maintaining web applications using Microsoft .NET and front-end technologies, specifically ASP.NET, C#, HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX, by which minimum EIGHT (8) years shall be with .NET Framework 4.7 & above and ASP.NET MVC.
The Candidate shall have at least 8 years of experience and be proficient in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), including experience in developing applications and integration using web services in C# .NET with REST, WSDL, XML and JSON based web services.
The Candidate shall have at least 8 years of experience and be proficient in designing, developing and maintaining web widgets/components using AngularJS, HTML5, CSS4 and WebComponent.
The Candidate shall have at least 8 years of experience and be proficient in designing, developing and maintaining website that support Responsive Web Design (RWD) using front-end open-source framework such as Twitter Bootstrap and UX web technologies such as CSS4, Media Queries, AngularJS or ReactJS.
The Candidate shall have at least 5 years of experience in development and system support on SOLR search engine.
The Candidate shall have at least 5 years of industrial working experience on Digital Library Standard using METS/ALTO formats.
The Candidate shall have at least 2 years of experience in data analytics, with experience using automated tools in the area of personalization and recommendation.
The Candidate shall have industrial working experience on Schema.org implementation.
The candidate shall have industrial experience in social media development.
The Candidate is to have working experience in cloud-based (e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP) implementations.
The Candidate is preferred to have work experience in using SHIP-HATS.
The candidate is preferred to have industrial development experience on Linux/Apache/MySQL/Php/Perl (LAMP).
The Candidate shall have at least 2 years of experience and be proficient in:
Requirements and impact analysis, including evaluating and recommending feasible technical implementations etc;
IT operational support, including incident management, defect tracking, source code version control, release management, deployment to Production etc; and
Project management support, including maintaining issue log and change control records, documenting operational procedures/guides, coordinating with users etc.
