Job Description

The Services required are set out as follows:

Manage two Science laboratories and ensure that the equipment, tools and other materials are adequately stocked and kept in working

condition. (e.g. Label, store, and organise equipment properly according to safety guidelines)

Carry out regular stock take and ensure that the laboratories are clean and tidy.

Liaise with teachers to prepare, set up and clear up the experiments and practical demonstrations

Assist teachers during practical lessons when required (e.g. managing materials and safety)

Assist in germinating and transplanting the seeds for the school’s aquaponic hydroponics system

Carry out daily monitoring of plants and systems at the Blooming garden to ensure optimal performance

Support plant care activities for soil-based planters

Assist in harvesting, packing and distributing of vegetables and fruits at the Blooming garden.

Assist in school-wide Science programmes such as Science Week, STEM Day, Applied Learning Programmes (ALP) and learning journeys.

Assist in regular stock take and ensure that the Maker space is clean and tidy.
