Resident Technical Officer – RTO(C&S)

Job Description

Represent the Superintending Officer or Resident Engineer on site and ensure all instructions are carried out.

Supervise construction works to meet project specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements.

Monitor work progress, site safety, and quality control, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

Verify materials, inspect works, and raise discrepancies to the supervising team.

Coordinate with contractors, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders to resolve site issues.

Attend site meetings and maintain accurate records of progress, inspections, and variations.

Assist in reviewing method statements and ensuring proper site execution.

Support defect inspections, rectifications, and project handovers to JTC or relevant parties.

Manage site office operations, including documentation, equipment, and safety compliance.

Ensure works comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Assist in preparing site instructions, defect lists, and submission forms for TOP/CSC approvals.

Carry out any other duties as directed by the supervising team.

Job Requirement:

Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering or equivalent qualification.

BCA-registered Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience in marine, reclamation, or land-based construction projects preferred.
