Job Responsibilities
OT assessments, develop intervention plans and implement therapy programmes for students with intellectual disabilities
Collaborate with educators, AHPs, care staff, caregivers and families to deliver holistic, interdisciplinary support
Provide coaching and carry-over strategies to teaching staff and families for home and school environments
Conduct a minimum of 36 individual therapy sessions and at least 1 group intervention session per month
Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary meetings and intake assessments
Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation, progress records and assessment reports
Provide OT consultation to staff and caregivers within 3 working days of request
Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality and professional standards throughout the contract
Job Requirement
Job Requirements
- Fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) — mandatory
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution
- Experience with persons with intellectual disabilities or special needs preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to be deployed multiple locations as required
