Job Description
Responsibilities
Supervise students’ progress of learning during Enrichment Activities
monitor students’ attendance and following up with their reasons for absence
mark daily assignments and prepare feedback to be given to students.
set examination papers
mark examination scripts
perform relief duties when contingencies arise
attend professional development workshops / retreats / meetings discussions that will increase their teaching competencies
engage with Correctional Unit Officers in-charge of their students for better socio-emotional and behavioural management of students
engage with next-of-kins during Parents-Teachers-Officers-Meetings
Job Requirement
Requirements
- Possesses a degree in the Chinese studies (Language)
- possesses at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience at Secondary and / or Post-Secondary levels.
- possesses good track record for students’ results in key national examinations at GCE levels or equivalent.
- has teaching experience in correctional facilities or working with at-risk students
- Competent in differentiated teaching for students who are diverse in age and abilities
- able to manage learning activities for a class size of between 20 and 30 students
