Lab Support Officer, Outram Park

Job Description

Job Scope :

•Wash and clean laboratory glassware and apparatus, both manually and using machines

• Perform soaking and washing of lab glassware according to designated room requirements

• Wash and soak glassware/apparatus used for cigarette testing, clean ashtray, cartridge and holder

•Work with diluted acids for soaking/cleaning apparatus/glassware

•  Perform general cleaning of centrifuge, sonicator, fume cupboards

Prepare bleach dilution solutions according to lab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Operate simple equipment (glassware washer, autoclave, oven, Ultrapure water systems)

•                    Perform general housekeeping (cleaning and tidying of cupboards, ovens, refrigerators, freezers)
•                     Sweeping and mopping of floors Clear general waste, chemical, biohazard and cytotoxic waste bins

•   Handle and sort bulk and heavy laboratory consumables

•                  Basic administrative duties (monitoring temperatures, dispatching reports, document handling, data entry)

Monday to Friday : 08.00AM to5.30 PM
