Job Description
Working time-8.30 AM to 6.00 PM ( Monday to Friday )
Location- Jalan Bahar
Responsibilities
Conduct investigation, submission of investigation reports and preparing the relevant documents i.e. advisories, warnings, Notices Of offer of Composition and prosecution papers.
The Authority will refer a stipulated number of cases for the IOs to investigate monthly. Investigation work will include taking statements from any witness or suspect in the field or interview room, obtaining relevant evidence as defined by the Evidence Act and compiling and making recommendations in the investigation papers.
When conducting interviews of any witness or suspect, IO must ensure sufficient measures are in place to prevent allegation of impropriety or misconduct from the investigation officer towards the interviewee during the course of the interview, including arranging the interpreters from the pool provided by the Authority when required.
All images printed for enclosing in the investigation papers (IPs) must be in colour.
All IPs, pictures taken for investigations and other relevant documents shall be forwarded to the Authority upon completion of the investigations. IO shall submit together with the IPs, all the offences established in the case and recommended actions to be taken against the offender as directed by the Authority.
IO shall key in investigation details into the Authority’s system via the provided computer/laptop as directed by the Authority.
Job Requirement
Requirements
- Prior substantial working experience with the Singapore Police Force or other related law enforcement agencies;
- Knowledge in conducting investigation, surveillance and inspection;
- Must be physically fit;
- Experience in handling unruly or violent behaviour by offenders;
- Have proficient verbal and writing skills in English and a second language;
- Must be able to handle dynamic situations in the field, including but not limited to the handling of female offenders/witnesses etc.
