Job Description

1. Student Management and Supervision

The officer monitors and manages students serving in-house suspension

or detention and those enrolled in the reintegration programme. During

these interactions, the officer applies restorative practices and leverages

teachable moments to guide and reinforce positive student behaviour.

The officer also conducts proactive patrolling during recesses, arrival

and dismissal timings. The officer is also responsible in ensuring that

assigned tasks are meaningful and developmental, and for following up

with form teachers regarding students who have missed their scheduled

sessions.

2. Investigative and Case Support

The officer assists in preliminary investigations and fact-finding

interviews for minor incidents. This includes obtaining statements from

students and witnesses where appropriate, as well as compiling

evidence and structured incident reports for submission to the relevant

key personnel.

3. Student Engagement and Mentorship

The officer builds positive and trusting relationships with students

through regular engagement, mentoring, check-ins, and targeted social-

emotional support. This encompasses fostering a sense of inclusion,

encouraging positive peer interactions, and strengthening students’

sense of belonging to the school community. The officer designs and

implements targeted SEL skill-building modules for selected students

during detention or in-house suspension. The officer is responsible for

crafting these modules to address the specific needs of identified

students and may also be required to provide in-class support to observe

and guide targeted students.

4. Administrative Support

The officer performs data entry for late-coming records, offences, and

intervention activities, and compiles weekly or monthly discipline

statistics as required. The officer maintains accurate and up-to-date case

notes for all students under intervention, documenting engagement

sessions, behavioural progress, and outcomes. Regular case reviews

are to be conducted with the HOD Student Development and relevant

school staff. Additional responsibilities include monitoring the student

reporting channel, liaising with form teachers to support learning

continuity during student suspensions, and reviewing detention, late-

coming, and corrective work processes. Strict confidentiality of all

student information is to be maintained at all times. The officer may also

be assigned other administrative and operational duties pertaining to

student development as directed by the school.
