Job Description

Job Summary

Assessors will lead comprehensive evaluations of Security Agencies (SAs) by conducting document reviews, site assessments, and staff interviews to ensure compliance with prescribed criteria. They will deliver detailed reports and recommendations that influence licensing decisions and uphold regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Advise Security Agencies (SAs) on submission requirements and procedures to ensure accurate and timely preparation for assessments
Conduct thorough assessments of SAs based on prescribed criteria, including document reviews, main office inspections, and deployment site evaluations
Interview SA staff and Security Officers to verify compliance and operational effectiveness
Facilitate end-to-end walkthroughs of key SA processes to identify strengths and areas for improvement
Execute security-related ground exercises and assess SA responses to simulated scenarios for readiness and compliance
Evaluate documentary and other evidence provided by SAs to support assessment findings
Prepare detailed assessment reports including observations, justification for assessment outcomes, and competency evaluations
Determine and document pass or fail outcomes for each SA competency assessed
Provide clear recommendations on new or renewal licenses and appropriate license tenure based on assessment results
Verify and review representations submitted by SAs, draft representation reports, and prepare formal replies regarding representation outcomes
Complete additional duties related to SA assessments as assigned by Supervisors or Authorities
Adhere strictly to all rules and guidelines communicated by the Contractor, Supervisor, and/or Authority

Job Requirement

Required competencies and certifications

  • Possess a valid Private Investigator license
  • Demonstrate confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Exhibit strong command of English with effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Apply observation and analytical skills to assess compliance and operational processes accurately
  • Produce clear, concise, and well-structured reports documenting assessment findings
  • Manage organizational and project tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiently for documentation and communication
  • Operate computer systems competently to support assessment activities
  • Work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Collaborate independently and as part of a team to achieve assessment objectives

    Preferred competencies and qualifications

    • Minimum two (2) years of experience in audit and/or compliance roles demonstrating relevant assessment skills
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience in law enforcement roles contributing to investigative and compliance expertise
    • Previous service as a member of the Singapore Police Force or other Law Enforcement Agency providing practical enforcement knowledge
