Responsibilities

To plan, manage, oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the health, safety and environmental matters for the Project.
To ensure the Project complies with its statutory obligations
To manage the team of Dy PSMs and ASMs to ensure all duties and responsibilities required of them are discharged professionally and competently. He shall carry out regular meetings with the team and address any issues relating to their personal and work matters.
To implement a proper office administration work procedure to ensure compliance with the Specifications of the Contract
To prepare and implement the shift duty roster
To attend all site, progress, variation, co-ordination, risk workshops
Participate actively in site safety management and enforce with safety requirements including attending any safety and environmental meetings, promotions, risk assessments and campaigns.
To highlight and work with appointed agents to take immediate actions and follow up on unsafe practices and/ or design for safety (DFS) matters related to WSH and aerodrome safety infringements on Site.
To review proposed method statement in the areas of risk assessment, work plan, standard operating procedures (SOP) and safe working procedure, incident investigation report and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
Suggest Safety management System improvement related to Near Miss, Incidents, Significant Observations, Observation trending.
To liaise and co-ordinate with public authorities and agencies and other Consultants

Job Requirement

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of WSH experience in deep excavation works of similar complexity, preferably 5 years with developer/main contractor.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team of site safety personnel.
  • Possess a Degree in Engineering, Workplace Safety & Health Disciplines, or related qualifications.
  • Registered with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 5 years.
  • Has obtained certificate in development of a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent.
  • Design for safety DFS Certificate
  • Good communication skills and a competent team leader
  • Conversant with all procedures in the Aerodrome Manual
