Responsibilities
Construction & Outfitting Phase (Overseas or Locally)
Ensure compliance to boat purchase requirements between the Authority and the shipyard;
Ensure compliance to the project plan and schedule;
Review construction drawings and provide engineering advice on the works in close consultation with the Project Manager
Conduct on-site survey inspection of all construction works and highlight areas for correction or improvement to the Project Manager, monitor and verify work quality and consistency on hull works
Ensure all shipboard equipment are installed according to the Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEM) installation requirements
Attend tests, inspections and acceptance trials with the Project Manager, submit monthly reports
Installation of GFEs, Trials & Commissioning Phase (Locally)
Ensure compliance to the project plan and schedule
Co-ordinate with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) vendors on supervision and installation of the GFEs according to their Installation Control Documents (ICD)
Co-ordinate and attend meetings with the GFE vendors
Attend all tests, inspections, acceptance trials, and commissioning of boats with the Project Manager co-ordinate and attend project management review meetings
Co-ordinate the transfer and delivery of all project deliverables, inclusive of training and documentation to the Authority
Assist to train the Authority’s officers on the operation and maintenance of the boats and associated shipboard equipment
Manage warranty claims and ensure timely and satisfactory completion of all warranty works.
