Job Description

Job Description & RequirementsProvide technical and laboratory support for engineering diploma programmes, practical sessions, assessments and student projects.

Prepare, set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, engineering systems, software and practical kits.

Support areas such as Aerospace, Automation, Robotics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, Microelectronics, Marine/Offshore and Network Systems, depending on the assigned discipline.

Assist lecturers and students with equipment operation, experiments, programming, testing, debugging and troubleshooting.

Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, basic repairs and equipment fault diagnosis, and coordinate with external vendors when required.

Manage laboratory inventory, procurement, equipment servicing, stocktaking and documentation.

Install and maintain operating systems, application software and specialised engineering software on laboratory computers.

Ensure laboratory safety, cleanliness, housekeeping, risk management and proper equipment handling.

Maintain records for equipment utilisation, maintenance, calibration, repairs, inventory and software updates.

Support the smooth and safe operation of laboratories and ensure all equipment is ready and functional for practical classes.
