* Advise management/board on safety and health measures to protect employees at the workplace.
* Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe equipment, processes, conditions, or behaviors.
* Investigate safety, health, and environmental risks and report findings with recommended corrective actions.
* Submit inspection reports to management within the required timeline.
* Conduct safety promotion activities such as training, toolbox talks, briefings, and safety campaigns.
* Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations and company safety policies.
* Advise on safety specifications for workplace modifications, repairs, or extensions, and installation of new machinery, plant, or equipment.
* Review and assess risk assessments and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).
* Conduct safety induction training for contractors and visitors before work begins.
* Act as Confined Space Safety Assessor when required.
* Ensure proper safety documentation and records are maintained as required by law.
* Monitor and ensure all safety equipment and PPE are safe and properly used.
