Job Description

Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and deliver laboratories, engineering workshops, and facilities projects from concept to completion.
Oversee the development, upgrading, and operation of teaching and applied engineering laboratories and workshops.
Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of engineering and laboratory equipment.
Ensure reliability and safety of engineering systems supporting labs and facilities.
Oversee maintenance and improvement of buildings, classrooms, workshops, and common areas.
Manage contractors,consultants, and service providers.
Ensure compliance with environmental, fire safety, and hazardous materials regulations.
Work closely with academic staff to align facilities and laboratories with teaching and learning needs.
Lead and supervise technical staff, lab technologists, and facilities personnel.
Provide technical guidance and support staff development.
Contribute to long-term planning for laboratories, engineering facilities, and campus infrastructure.

Job Requirement

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Facilities Management preferred.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in project management, facilities management, or engineering operations.
  • Proven experience managing laboratories, engineering workshops, or technical facilities, preferably in higher education environment.
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering systems
