Job Description

The Services required are set out as follows:

(a) Information and Communications Technology (ICT) & AV support

for school events

1. General AV Operations

 The Personnel shall set up, operate and maintain AV equipment

within the school premises.

 The Personnel shall provide technical support in lighting, audio,

video, AV stage setup and management for events, at multi-

purpose hall and other venues, organised by the Authority or

external parties.

2. Lighting

 The Personnel shall set up, operate and manage lighting

equipment to ensure optimal illumination and ambiance during

events.

3. Audio

 The Personnel shall set up and manage audio equipment,

including microphones, speakers and mixer soundboards (both

digital and analogue).

 The Personnel shall ensure optimal sound quality for live

audiences and recordings, including balancing audio levels,

managing live feeds and delivering clear audio for speeches,

music and other event components.

4. Videography and Photography

 The Personnel shall operate photography and video equipment

such as cameras, projectors and editing tools.

 The Personnel shall perform live-streaming, event recording,

photo taking and display visual elements.

 The Personnel shall ensure video, photo quality and content

align with the events’ objectives.

5. Stage Setup & Management

 The Personnel shall set up and manage the physical stage,

ensuring safety, proper arrangement and setup of necessary AV

equipment.

 The Personnel shall assist with the setup of the AV equipment

during transitions between event segments (e.g., speeches,

performances, presentations) with the Authority’s staff.

(b) AV Support for Staff and Students

 The Personnel shall assist in setting up and troubleshooting of

ICT/AV equipment for events, meetings and lessons.

 The Personnel shall provide video recording and photography

support for school events and lessons.

 The Personnel shall supervise students tasked with operating the

PA system during flag-raising ceremonies, photo-taking sessions

and video-recording activities.

 The Personnel shall conduct AV training sessions for students

and staff.

(c) ICT/AV Planning and Procurement

 The Personnel shall assist the Authority’s ICT department to

propose solutions addressing ICT/AV challenges, including

technical specifications.

 The Personnel shall support the ICT department in procurement

processes for ICT/AV solutions and services, such as the

following:

o Requirements Gathering: The Personnel shall assist the

ICT department in gathering specific user requirements

for AV equipment

o Demo and Testing Coordination: The Personnel shall

work with ICT department to organize and oversee

product demonstrations or testing of proposed AV

solutions to assess their functionality and suitability for

the Authority’s needs.

o Vendor and Liaison: The Personnel shall work with the

ICT department to liaise with selected vendors during

installation and commissioning.

(d) ICT & AV Resource Management

 The Personnel shall assist in managing the Authority’s ICT/AV

resources.

 The Personnel shall conduct annual maintenance,

troubleshooting and basic repairs of ICT/AV hardware.

(e) Media Post-Production

1. Video Editing

 The Personnel shall compile raw footage, arrange clips and

create cohesive narratives.

 The Personnel shall add titles, subtitles and on-screen graphics

and animations to enhance video content.

2. Sound Editing and Mixing

 The Personnel shall edit dialogue, remove unwanted sounds and

enhance audio clarity.

 The Personnel shall add ambient sounds, sound effects or music

to enrich audio quality.

(f) Other Tasks

 Any other duties assigned by the Authority.
