Job Description & Requirements
The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Prepare materials / set up experiment apparatus for each class or

level (can be for class or lab-based lessons)

2. Maintain inventory loan list (take stock of what is loaned out to

teachers and ensure that they are returned)

3. Clearing up/cleaning of apparatus after science lessons

4. Inform staff in-charge of depleted /damaged /missing lab inventory

5. Maintenance of inventory and equipment (e.g. magnetise

demagnetised magnets, replace microscope bulbs/lamp bulbs)

6. Ensure security of lab inventory and equipment (no unauthorized

entry by students)

7. Refining the science activities resources such as making the

activities to be students – friendly where necessary

8. Assist teachers during hands-on lab lessons if necessary

9. Ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the Science Rooms (e.g.

no leaking of bunsen burners, lighted flames etc)

10. Maintain the Science Resource Cupboard and update inventory list

when necessary

11. Termly stock taking of Science Room and Resource Cupboard

12. Helping out in the preparation of science rooms flashcards e.g.

laminating the flashcards

13. Helping out in general clerical work in the General Office if required

14. Any other duties as assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principal, Head

of Department/Science and Level Head/Science
