Job Description

Job Role- Desktop Engineer

Job Location- East, Singapore

Scope of Work:
The Desktop Engineer will provide end-user IT and AV support, manage equipment lifecycle, and ensure smooth operations of ICT resources within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Helpdesk & Desktop Support:
Respond to user issues (calls/emails) and log cases until resolution.
Provide 1st level hardware support, liaise with vendors, and ensure timely repair.
Collect user feedback and suggest process improvements.
Audio-Visual (AV) Support:
Setup, test, and support AV equipment for meetings, hybrid events, and Townhalls.
Perform scheduled checks, provide 1st level troubleshooting, and liaise with AV vendors.
Maintain AV inventory and support onsite/standby for meetings (including after hours with time-off in lieu).
System Updates & Security:
Ensure compliance with antivirus and patching policies.
Update OS, antivirus definitions, and software patches (auto or manual).
Maintain accurate patching records.
Device Setup, Installation & Disposal:
Deploy new ICT devices (inspection, OS/software installation, patching, AV).
Relocate and re-install equipment as needed.
Support hardware/software additions without voiding warranty.
Handle disposal securely (data wiping, inventory update, physical removal).
Equipment Loan & Admin Tasks:
Manage pool of loan devices/equipment, configure before and after use.
Track and ensure return of loaned items.
Update inventory, prepare documentation (guides, forms, FAQs) with clients approval.

Job Requirement

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in Desktop/IT Support, Helpdesk, or related roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, antivirus software, and patch management.
Hands-on experience with ICT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals).
Familiarity with AV equipment (cameras, speakers, Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Skype setups).
Basic troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
Good understanding of IT asset management, inventory tracking, and disposal procedures.
Ability to document processes, prepare guides, and manage user communications.
Strong coordination skills to liaise with vendors for repair/maintenance.
