Job Description
The Services required are set out as follows:
1) Supporting school teachers in the following:
• Prepare and set up apparatus and resources for Science practical
lessons.
• Be present during practical lessons and support teacher during lab
demonstration or group work. Facilitate activities in the small groups.
• Monitor resources and make appropriate recommendations for
lessons. Try out resources and share with the teachers or Science
Subject Representatives on the usage.
• Record items that need to be purchased during preparation so that
budget can be tapped on and used effectively.
• Carry out stock take of apparatus/materials and disposal of redundant
items. Inform teacher-in-charge for replenishment of needed
apparatus/materials.
• Spruce up the look and feel of Science rooms Eg: display of charts and
students work
• Support the Math and Science Departments in after school lessons for
students during Olympiad and E2K programme.
• Preparation of teaching and learning resources e.g: cutting of
resources, lamination, signage for Science garden, sorting of butterfly
kits( by class), seed kits (by class)
• Accompany students for learning journey
• School Garden Maintenance eg: watering of plants, composting,
hydroponics
• Cleaning and Maintenance of Science Rooms
2) To support any work requirements beyond the stipulated work hours
where necessary. Such requirements will be communicated and
agreed upon beforehand with personnel and charged against the total
contracted hours.
3) To perform any other duties as and when assigned by the school.
